JEREMY CLARKSON

The Car Man Footprint

Love him or hate him - television presenter and journalist

Jeremy Clarkson

Analysis : Jeremy Clarkson, television presenter (Top Gear) and journalist is shown here within a tyre, leaving his footprint on the land of his Diddly Squat Farm in Chadlington.

Jeremy is known as The Marmite Man, due to his extremely controversial comments which have often lead him into deep waters leaving a strong impression. You either love him or hate him, but certainly makes for compelling viewing.

Why the Paddington Bear? Michael Bond’s famous character was conceived in 1958. Clarkson’s parents owned a design business called Gabrielle Designs and between them created a prototype Paddington Bear toy in 1972 as a gift to their son Jeremy and daughter Joanna. They went in to bear production until Mr Bond took action against them due to copyright infringement. However, his parents and Mr Bond became friends and they were awarded the licencing right to produce their Paddington Bears worldwide. I am given to understand that this money helped fund the private education for Jeremy.
