My Point of View
and
What's the Point ?

The point or “le point” is a dot and a dot comes in all sizes.  Creating a picture with dots is a technique known as “pointillism”.  I use a rapidograph which is a high precision writing pen with special nibs/point sizes.

So, what’s the point and is there any point in using it?  If one magnifies a photograph one can see the construction of the picture in dots. I want to create a surreal portrait but I want it to look like a photograph in order to deceive initially and then to make the viewer think.  I therefore build my picture by hand, dot by dot, using thousands of dots per square inch.  The number of dots vary according to the density.

This is hopefully making MY POINT and hope that you are able to enjoy and understand my point of view.
