Analysis :  Francis Rossi, OBE (otherwise known as GOMOR) - The Grand Old Man of Rock) the English singer, songwriter and musician.  The founder, leader, lead singer, lead guitarist and sole continuous member of the rock band Status Quo.

His family ran a highly successful chain of ice cream parlours and vans in South London.  Francis has shared several colourful memories of his time in the business, including a particularly infamous tale where he accidentally bled into a tub of strawberry ice cream and served it to a customer.

Staying on the subject of food, he has a well-known ritual: cooking and eating spaghetti Aglio e Olio (garlic, olive oil and chilli) the night before a show.

Francis also has a love of crosswords, so have given him a crossword shirt with some familiar answers.

NB. A "lick" is a short, memorable musical phrase or a "stock pattern" used primarily in jazz, blues, rock and pop music - Status Quo has given us numerous great "licks" in one form or another !
